Olive wood harvest

We were fortunate to meet Joanne in Auburn who graciously opened her olive orchard to local wood clubs.  We were able to collect a pickup load of olive wood from Joanne’s orchard.  Over the course of several days, we processed the wood, cutting small slabs, cants, and blanks from the trunks. Some of the wood was “green” turned and sealed to dry. Most of the wood was sealed at the time it was cut to length, then placed in storage to dry.
